Sewing Classes in Guelph

Tiny Cheer Handmade runs small-group sewing classes in Guelph, Ontario, inside Florence + the makers, on the main floor of Quebec Street Mall. Our classes caps at four students, so nobody sits waiting for help, and machines, notions and tools are provided.

Fall 2026 Classes

Which class should I start with?

If you have never sewn, start with Beginner Machine Sewing - four hours, no experience, nothing to bring. If you have sewn a little and want to make something you'll actually wear, take one of the four-week garment courses. If you want a finished object in a single afternoon, take a workshop: the Zipper Pouch, Halloween Totes or Holiday Gift Bags.

How classes work

Four students maximum. Machines provided, or bring your own if you'd rather learn on it. Classes run at The Maker's Print Shop, main floor of Quebec Street Mall, 55 Wyndham Street North, Guelph. Registration is online and classes are confirmed as soon as you book.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own sewing machine? No. Machines are provided, and you're welcome to bring yours if you'd prefer to learn on the one you'll use at home

Are these classes suitable for complete beginners? Yes. Beginner Machine Sewing assumes nothing at all, and the one-day workshops are written for people in their first year of sewing.

Where in Guelph are the classes? Inside The Maker's Print Shop, on the main floor of Quebec Street Mall at 55 Wyndham Street North - right in the middle of downtown Guelph.

What if the class I want is full? Join the waitlist on the class page. Waitlists are how I decide what to run next term, so it genuinely counts.

Do you have kids' classes? Not this fall. I have had kids' classes in the past and hope to again when we are in the new space, early 2027.
